Updated: 31.05.2019

At Affidaty S.p.A., we believe that privacy begins with giving you control over your data, in addition to the critical tools and information you need to make an informed decision.

When you create a Synkrony Alias account, we collect personal data from you, including your name, email address, and password, your phone number and your biographical data.

Through the Synkrony Alias, you have access to a set of modules made available by Affidaty S.p.A. through a series of online channels. When you choose to participate in, and to sign up for, these modules, or any part of the same, you accept the terms and conditions of the individual modules.

Personal data allow us to make Affidaty services more useful and relevant; however, we offer you the option to choose the service methods for this information.

Affidaty S.p.A.’s commitment to privacy.

Data Transparency

When you use Affidaty S.p.A. services through your Synkrony Alias, you are entrusting us with your data. Therefore, it is our duty to be transparent regarding the data we collect and how we use them to offer increasingly efficient services.

Specifically, personal data are collected for purposes of administrative and accounting management, the management of any purchased services and notices, as well as to protect against crime, cheating, fraud, and for other security-related purposes.

There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to privacy. Instead, we have integrated a set of privacy tools into the Synkrony Alias account which are both effective and easy to use. These tools allow you to adjust your privacy settings to your specific needs, as well as to choose the types of data we collect and use for our services.

Device Information

If you sync your Synkrony Alias with information from your device, Affidaty S.p.A. will store information on calendars, time spent on our modules, and actions taken within the same, to your account; if you have activated location services, the location from which you generally access your account will be stored to ensure security in case of account breach, along with other device data, such as your IP address. All information synchronised with Affidaty S.p.A. services fall within the scope of this privacy policy. You can remove the information when you choose.

Your activity timeline is the most important item of information we save in your Synkrony Alias account. We do this to make your experience with Affidaty services, personalised, useful, and fun. You can modify the type of data that is collected at any time by adjusting the privacy settings on your device or on your browser. Only you can see this data; again, you can delete them when you choose by selecting the data type, and erasing the history. When you choose to delete your data, we eliminate them from the dashboard, and we launch the procedure to remove other copies from your systems.

Not all data are visualised on the dashboard. If you are unable to find what you are looking for, or if you have any privacy-related question or concern, please contact us online or via email at

Additionally, personal data collected from your Synkrony Alias may be retained for statistical purposes beyond the time period required to pursue those purposes for which they were collected and thereafter processed. This is permitted under the code of professional ethics and code of conduct established for the collection of personal data for statistical and scientific-research related purposes deemed to be GDPR-compliant by the Data Protection Authority in December of 2018. In such cases, the item of personal information will be stored in an anonymous format.

Location Data

To ensure your security, Affidaty S.p.A. records your location data (GPS), and time of access (CET) in order to ensure your security in case you lose your Synkrony Alias, as well as for statistical and legal purposes, such as when you record an entry relating to a production line, or a competition, from a specific location from which you are accessing the system.

When you use voice commands in the modules, as well as other services that require voice recognition, Affidaty S.p.A. gathers and stores the audio recordings in order to optimise the voice-recognition experience, as well as other customised voice-activated services.

Synkrony Alias – Blockchain Privacy

Affidaty attains the maximum level of confidentiality (privacy) by limiting access to interested-party information through the use of a proprietary blockchain system protected by encrypted keys with differing levels of visibility, which are then archived on a distributed server network (called “Independentchain”). This compliant network ensures ongoing functionality, security, accessibility, and reliability at the proper levels for all included resources. The objective is an optimal physical environment through which to provide key services or the entire Synkrony Alias community.

However, the need remains for some information to be rendered public. We are here referring specifically to the set of transactions taking place within the blockchain community you are accessing through your Synkrony Alias. In order to ensure the utmost confidentiality on sensitive data, data taken from Synkrony Alias functions with an alphanumeric key which are posted to the public ledger, where it will be possible to verify a specific writing transaction, will be unlinked from the sensitive data. This will allow us to make sure that the data entered are truthful, and that there is no way to tamper with the integrity of the same.

Privacy is maintained by interrupting the flow of information, and keeping the public keys anonymous. The public can see that an alphanumeric key has recorded an entry at a specific time, on a specific type of module, and in accordance with the rules for the same. The transaction outcome then triggers a Track Record of the event, which will be available in anonymous format on the ledger, meaning without any information linking the record to any person or thing. To associate that publicly available datum with a specific party, one would need a private password (key) which is issued upon opening a Synkrony Alias. You can find more information on the Terms and Conditions of Use by clicking her.

The association of the public datum in an anonymous format on the ledger is called “inquiry” or “reading” and is only permitted with authorisation using a private key.

Only information relating to the “time” and “size” of the individual exchanges is disseminated through the Record; party identifiers are not disseminated.

Synkrony Alias Sensitive Data

Sensitive data relating to the Synkrony Alias, meaning those data that unambiguously identify the owner of the Synkrony Alias (biographical data, email, telephone number, password) are excised from those relating to the transaction, identified as discussed supra using alphanumeric codes which in no way can identify the person who placed the transaction. Data on the transaction and/or the entry in blockchain are filed on ledgers distributed by IndependentChain as better described in IndependentChain regions and locations.

Sensitive data relating to the Synkrony Alias are filed in the data centre, which is subject to 24/7 monitoring, 365 days a year. Proper function of the systems, connectivity, and environmental parameters are subject to 24/7 monitoring, 365 days a year. Resident staff responds to alarms in real time.
